The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), Kenya's Office of the Ombudsman, is seeking a Legal Intern to join our Complaints, Investigations and Legal Services department. CAJ offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administrative justice.<\/p>\n

The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), or Office of the Ombudsman of Kenya, is a constitutional commission established under Article 59(4) of the Constitution and the CAJ Act of 2011. It tackles maladministration (abuse of power, unfair treatment, delay) in the public sector and enforces the Access to Information Act, 2016.<\/p>\n

Duties and responsibilities for this position will entail:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Screening of complainants<\/li>\n
  2. Assisting in handling public complaints and provision of legal advice;<\/li>\n
  3. Assisting in conducting legal research on matters relating to administrative justice and other legal matters;<\/li>\n
  4. Compiling reports and collating data for preparation of briefs<\/li>\n
  5. Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    JOB SPECIFICATION<\/h4>\n

    For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;<\/p>\n

    1. A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law from a recognized institution<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      CLEARANCE\/COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES<\/strong><\/p>\n
