An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities will include: -<\/p>\n<p>a) Preparation of drawings for siting of fire appliances;<br \/>\nb) Inspection of buildings for assessing fire hazards and risks;<br \/>\nc) Ensuring availability of emergency exits and adequacy of means of escape in public buildings; and<br \/>\nd) Repair and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment.<\/p>\n<h4>Requirement for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n<p>a) A Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Electrical\/Mechanical\/Chemical\/Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and<br \/>\nb) Be registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.<\/p>\n<h3>2) INSPECTOR (FIRE SERVICES), JOB GROUP CPSB 11\/'H' - (3 POSTS)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Basic Salary<\/strong>: Kshs. 26,900 x 1,110 28,010 x 1,120 29,130 x 1,150 30,280 x 1,170 -31,450 x 1,250-32,700 x 1,300-34,000 x 1,380 - 35,380p.m.<br \/>\n<strong>Terms of service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n<h4>Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: -<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities: -<\/p>\n<p>i Inspection, repair and maintenance of fire installations in public buildings, hospitals and institutions;<br \/>\nii Ensure buildings adhere to local, and national fire codes Ensuring buildings adhere to local, state, and national fire codes;<br \/>\niii Evaluating fire sprinklers, extinguishers, and suppression systems;<br \/>\niv Determining the origin and cause of fires;<br \/>\nv Preparing detailed reports on violations and required corrections; and<br \/>\nvi Providing training on fire safety and prevention to the public.<\/p>\n<h4>Requirement for Appointment<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n<p>i Diploma in Mechanical\/Electrical\/Chemical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and<br \/>\nii First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John's Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.<\/p>\n<h4>3) FIREMAN III, JOB GROUP CPSB 14\/'E' - (6 POSTS)<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Basic Scale<\/strong>: Kshs. 18,000 x 580 - 18,580 x 640 - 19,220 x 680 - 19,900p.m.<br \/>\n<strong>Terms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will be on-the-job training and will work under the supervision of an experienced officer.<\/p>\n<h4>Duties and Responsibilities: -<\/h4>\n<p>i Simple maintenance of fire-fighting appliances;<br \/>\nii Assisting during emergency cases;<br \/>\niii Response to vehicle extrication, mitigation of hazardous material, confined space rescue;<br \/>\niv Recue people endangered by fire; and<br \/>\nV Provide basic life support activities.<\/p>\n<h4>Requirement for appointment<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n<p>i.
