Cytonn Asset Managers Limited (CAML) is a regulated Fund Manager by the Capital Markets Authority and the Retirement Benefits Authority. The company is also a licensed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Manager under the Capital Markets Authority. Our objective is to offer superior risk-adjusted investment returns to our clients through investments in both the public and alternative investments markets. The fund manager provides Cytonn Money Market Fund (CMMF) (https:\/\/cytonn.com\/asset-managers\/money-market-fund<\/a>), one of the high yielding money market funds in Kenya, which is fully automated for our retail investors.<\/p>\n

CAML investors include global and local institutional investors, individual retail investors, and diaspora investors.<\/p>\n

We are running an internship class and wish to recruit energetic, passionate, creative and hardworking individual looking to join the team as a Legal Intern, a programme specifically suited to sharp individuals who have concluded with their pupillage and are looking for entry and growth towards a corporate legal career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Assist with reviewing, drafting and revising a wide variety of contracts, including but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, customer and supplier agreements, professional services agreements and developing template agreements.<\/li>\n
  2. Assisting with various corporate matters, including Real Estate conveyancing transactions, corporate governance matters and facilitating business filings.<\/li>\n
  3. Assisting to provide strategic legal advice on business matters and product development;<\/li>\n
  4. Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.<\/li>\n
  5. Provide support in compliance and legal risk management, including researching statutes, laws, and other legal matters applicable to the company\u2019s activities.<\/li>\n
  6. Maintaining the departments safes and various registers and documentation;<\/li>\n
  7. Collaborating with other departments as may be required to perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n
  8. Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Requirements<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. A Second Class Upper Degree in Law (LL. B) from a recognized University<\/li>\n
    2. Must have attained a B+ and above in O levels\/ high school;<\/li>\n
    3. Creative, commercial legal thinking and appreciation of the business aspects in their application of the law<\/li>\n
    4. Ability to pro-actively and creatively manage potential legal issues;<\/li>\n
    5. A team player willing to learn, adapt and work with minimum supervision<\/li>\n
    6. Excellent organisation, administration, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills;<\/li>\n
    7. High levels of energy and enthusiasm and ability to work long hours, under tight deadlines and to deliver to multiple stakeholders; and<\/li>\n
    8. High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
