If you have a passion for childcare and a knack for creating fun, apply now and nurture the future!<\/p>\n<p>The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013 as the national body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baby Minder - Kisumu<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"toc_key_responsibilities\">Key responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide high quality care of study participants\u2019 children and listen, consult with parents, children and clinic staff<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a safe and good hygiene standards environment for participants\u2019 children within the clinic environs by creating clean and safe area that prevent a potential hazard to children.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure children dedicated equipment such as baby coats are in good condition, well maintained, and safe to use and age appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Ensure comfort, observe and report any matters that require attention such as accidents, emergencies that may occur among study participants\u2019 children<\/li>\n<li>Listening to, encouraging, enabling, engaging, motivating, stimulating and ensuring the safe keeping of the participants\u2019 children<\/li>\n<li>Change baby nappies and ensure their comfort and Provide a range of play activities, both indoors and outside<\/li>\n<li>Regularly replenish children supplies and provide refreshments for children and their parents<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that appropriate communication methods are used when communicating with children, parents, and fellow staff.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the children feel secure, and are safe, warm, comfortable and well fed<\/li>\n<li>Work with other staff within the study clinic<\/li>\n<li>Perform Variety of unskilled tasks as helper in the clinic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"toc_vacancy_requirements:\">Vacancy Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Minimum o-level; with short trainings such as ECD, First Aid or any other related courses<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of work experience preferably with a busy medical organization.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of HIV prevention and treatment and family planning services is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with parents\/carers, children, other staff and deliver a high level of customer service at all times<\/li>\n<li>Good listener, self-driven, flexible and confidential at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Patient and with a sense of humor so as Listen to and engage children in relevant conversations.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate communication skills and a good role model for children<\/li>\n<li>Have a growing repertoire of songs, rhymes and stories to share with children of all ages.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":715154,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Application Ends on: <strong>03\/26\/26 5:00:00 PM<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>To apply for this post you must be a registered user.
