Reports To<\/strong>:\u00a0Payroll Officer \/ HR Manager<\/p>\n

Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

To support the payroll and HR team in the preparation, verification, and administration of payroll processes while ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with statutory and organizational requirements.<\/p>\n

Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll in accordance with established timelines and procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Review and verify employee payroll data including names, pay rates, bank details, tax numbers, and statutory information (SHIF, NSSF, etc.).<\/li>\n
  • Support the processing of payroll changes such as promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and new hires.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in verifying payroll inputs received from supervisors and ensure accuracy before processing.<\/li>\n
  • Help identify and report payroll discrepancies and assist in resolving them with relevant stakeholders.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of payslips to employees.<\/li>\n
  • Support the preparation of payroll reports for management review and approval.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in verifying statutory and third-party deductions including PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, SACCO contributions, and other authorized deductions.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate and systematic filing of payroll records and documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Respond to basic employee payroll queries and escalate complex issues where necessary.<\/li>\n
  • Provide payroll-related data to HR and authorized stakeholders when required.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and applicable statutory regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Perform any other duties as may be assigned.<\/p>\n

    Qualifications and Requirements<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Maths, Statistics,Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.<\/li>\n
    • Basic knowledge of payroll processes and statutory deductions is an added advantage.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.<\/li>\n
