Finance Intern \u2013 Accounts Payable<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location<\/strong>:\u00a0Nairobi

\nDuration<\/strong>:\u00a06 months<\/p>\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Intern to join our Accounts Payable team. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial operations and the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has strong organizational skills, and has completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.<\/div>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Assist in processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely and accurate payment<\/li>\n
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts<\/li>\n
  • Help maintain and update accounts payable records and documentation<\/li>\n
  • Support reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies with vendors<\/li>\n
  • Assist in preparing payment runs and ensuring compliance with company policies<\/li>\n
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and account status<\/li>\n
  • Help with monthly closing activities related to accounts payable<\/li>\n
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Requirements<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field<\/li>\n
    • Completed or currently pursuing CPA qualification<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of accounting principles<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other MS Office applications<\/li>\n
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Previous internship or coursework related to accounting or finance<\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with ERP or accounting software (e.g., MBC, SAP, Oracle)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
