The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act (CAP 244 of the Laws of Kenya). It is mandated to test, examine and ensure the quality control of drugs and medicinal substances.<\/p>\n

NQCL is seeking applications to fill the following vacant positions:<\/p>\n

Job Specification<\/h4>\n

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:<\/p>\n

(i) Implement Standard Operating Procedures;
\n(ii) Implement section plans and work plans;
\n(iii) Cleaning bins and benches and ensuring proper disposal of analytical waste.
\n(iv) Maintain reorder level for waste disposal bags
\n(v) Adhere to MSDS requirements
\n(vi) Implement Bio - safety Bio-security framework<\/p>\n

Person Specifications<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n

(i) Professional Certificate in Science laboratory technologist, Industrial Chemistry, analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
\n(ii) Proficiency in computer applications.<\/p>\n

TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT<\/strong>
\nSuccessful candidates shall be placed on contract for a period of one (1) year.
