You'll handle everything from maintaining a tidy environment to supporting daily office operations. If you have a KCSE cert or equivalent, computer skills, and a passion for organization, we want you on our team.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act (CAP 244 of the Laws of Kenya). It is mandated to test, examine and ensure the quality control of drugs and medicinal substances.<\/p>\n<p>NQCL is seeking applications to fill the following vacant positions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title<\/strong>: Office Assistant III (Administration)<br \/>\n<strong>Advert No: <\/strong>NQCL NO. 20\/2026<br \/>\n<strong>Terms of Service: <\/strong>Contract (1 Year)<br \/>\n<strong>Position Level: <\/strong>NQCL 12<br \/>\n<strong>No. of positions: <\/strong>1<\/p>\n<h4>Job Specifications<\/h4>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:<\/p>\n<p>i. Attending to general routine office services;<br \/>\nii. Performing messengerial duties;<br \/>\niii. Performing cleaning services;<br \/>\niv. Collecting and disposing of general waste;<br \/>\nv. Ensuring tidiness of the working environment;<br \/>\nvi. Providing specifications for cleaning materials and equipment;<br \/>\nvii. Dusting offices and ensuring habitable office conditions;<br \/>\nviii. Keeping safe custody of cleaning materials and equipment;<br \/>\nix. Preparing and serving refreshments;<br \/>\nx. Moving or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensure orderly arrangement; and<br \/>\nxi. Dispatching letters, files and other documents.<\/p>\n<h4>Person Specifications<\/h4>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:<\/p>\n<p>i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D (plain) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and<br \/>\nii. Proficiency in computer applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT<\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful candidates shall be placed on contract for a period of one (1) year.
