Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) is the apex body representing private healthcare sector players in Kenya, including manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and healthcare professionals associations. KHF serves as the Health Sector Board of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). KHF advocates for an enabling environment for the private health sector and works to strengthen Kenya's health system through policy engagement, partnerships, and sector coordination.<\/p>\n

Position Overview<\/h4>\n

Role Summary<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

KHF is seeking a motivated Pharmacist to join our team as an Intern. The intern will support KHF's advocacy efforts on pharmaceutical pricing, importation, local manufacturing, and supply chain resilience. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist seeking exposure to health policy, private-sector advocacy, and healthcare systems strengthening beyond clinical practice.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Assist in drafting policy briefs, white papers, position papers, and technical documents on pharmaceutical and supply chain matters.<\/li>\n
  • Support KHF's engagement with regulatory bodies such as the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and other relevant government agencies.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to KHF's advocacy efforts on pharmaceutical pricing, importation, local manufacturing, and supply chain resilience.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct desk research, literature reviews, and compile data to support evidence-based advocacy.<\/li>\n
  • Support the organization and logistics of sector meetings, forums, and multi-stakeholder convenings.<\/li>\n
  • Attend meetings, record accurate minutes, and follow up on action points.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in preparing presentations, briefing notes, and background documents for meetings.<\/li>\n
  • Support the coordination of internal and external communications.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications & Requirements<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution. Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.<\/li>\n
    • Strong interest in health policy, pharmaceutical regulation, and supply chain management.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear, concise documents.<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical skills.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).<\/li>\n
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.<\/li>\n
    • Prior exposure to supply chain, public health, or policy work is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
