{"id":891009,"date":"2026-04-17T20:48:56","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T17:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=891009"},"modified":"2026-04-17T20:49:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T17:49:07","slug":"891009-safaricom-governance-cost-management-officer-network-operations-westlands","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/campusbiz.co.ke\/careers\/vacancy\/891009-safaricom-governance-cost-management-officer-network-operations-westlands\/","title":{"rendered":"Governance &amp; Cost Management Officer \u2013 Network Operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Safaricom PLC is seeking an entry-level Governance &amp; Cost Management Officer \u2013 Network Operations to be based at Safaricom House, Waiyaki Way, Westlands.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Governance &amp; Cost Management Lead, the role holder will be responsible for supporting vendor governance, site cost tracking, and procurement (P2P) operations by ensuring data accuracy, process compliance, and timely execution of transactions across Network Operations.<\/p>\n<h4>Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Uphold the company code of conduct, policies and procedures, ensuring integrity and accountability in every aspect of your work.<\/li>\n<li>All employees have a responsibility to adhere to safety, health, and wellbeing \u00a0policies, guidelines and procedures in all actions and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Track vendor performance against SLAs\/KPIs and support contract compliance monitoring (BPA\/CPA).<\/li>\n<li>Log, track, and follow up on vendor issues, escalations, onboarding, and access setup.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain vendor performance records and cost tracking data.<\/li>\n<li>Capture and monitor site operational costs (fuel, maintenance, power) and consolidate cost data from multiple sources.<\/li>\n<li>Identify cost variances\/inconsistencies and support preparation of periodic cost reports.<\/li>\n<li>Support Purchase Requisition (PR) creation\/validation and track Purchase Orders (POs) through approval cycles.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with goods receipt, invoice matching, and reconciliation of PR\/PO\/invoice data, flagging discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely payment processing through proactive follow-ups.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate operational\/financial data, prepare reports, and identify data gaps or errors; support basic automation and reporting improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate across operations, finance, and vendors; support system issue resolution (e.g., Oracle ERP, iTower), ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain audit-ready documentation, and track KPI performance metrics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field<\/li>\n<li>1\u20133 years\u2019 experience in procurement support, finance operations, or data\/cost tracking<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Basic financial and cost analysis understanding<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in data handling and reporting (Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Effective coordination and follow-up abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of ERP systems<\/li>\n<li>Systems &amp; Tools: Oracle ERP, iTower, Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":604080,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Apply Before <strong>04\/23\/2026, 11:55 PM<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Safaricom is an equal opportunity employer, actively recruiting staff from different backgrounds reflecting the communities that we serve.
