Ready to gain hands-on experience in a legislative environment while being mentored by seasoned professionals?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The County Assembly of Bungoma, in pursuance of its mandate in youth empowerment and human resource development, invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan graduates for its Internship Programme for the Financial Year 2025\/2026.<\/p>\n<p>This programme is a strategic initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, equipping young Kenyans with hands-on experience while contributing to the operational effectiveness of the Assembly. Successful candidates will be mentored by seasoned professionals across various departments and will gain invaluable exposure to the legislative, administrative, and support functions of a constitutional institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REF<\/strong>: CASB\/HR\/INT\/VOL.I\/2026<br \/>\n<strong>Position Title<\/strong>: Intern \u2013 Public Communication &amp; Media Relations (Videographer)<br \/>\n<strong>Department \/ Section<\/strong>: Public Communication &amp; Media Relations<br \/>\n<strong>Number of Positions<\/strong>: 1<br \/>\n<strong>Duration<\/strong>: Twelve (12) Months \u2013 Non-Renewable<br \/>\n<strong>Grade: <\/strong>Intern<br \/>\n<strong>Reports To<\/strong>: Communications Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Working Hours<\/strong>: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM \u2013 5:00 PM<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Purpose of the Position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To support the Public Communication and Media Relations function of the County Assembly by producing high-quality video and multimedia content that promotes public awareness, civic engagement, and the transparency of the Assembly's legislative and oversight activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Minimum Qualifications &amp; Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Film &amp; Media Production, Videography or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.<\/li>\n<li>Must have completed studies within the last two (2) years.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable portfolio of video production, photography or media content (still or video) is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content management is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Recommendation \/ Introduction Letter from the institution of learning is mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capture high-quality video footage of County Assembly plenary sittings, committee meetings, public participation forums and official Assembly events.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in editing and producing video content for broadcast, social media and internal communications use.<\/li>\n<li>Operate professional videography equipment including cameras, lighting rigs, microphones and audio recording devices.<\/li>\n<li>Support the production of documentary-style content on the Assembly's legislative and oversight activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an organised digital archive of all video footage, photographs and multimedia assets.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in photographing Assembly proceedings, events, and official functions for use in publications and online platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Support the upload and management of multimedia content on the Assembly's official social media platforms and website.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in producing visual communications materials including infographics, motion graphics and presentation slides.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all equipment is properly handled, maintained and stored in good working condition.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties assigned by the Communications Officer within the scope of the Media Relations function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4.
