Are you a driven graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic regulatory environment?<\/strong> The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Intern \u2013 Market Supervision<\/strong> for a one-year non-renewable internship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications for the following position:<\/p>\n

INTERN-MARKET SUPERVISION -1 POSITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Internship Period<\/strong>: 1 year (non-renewable)<\/p>\n

What you'll do<\/h4>\n

Reporting to the Deputy Director Market Supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for;<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Conducting onsite and offsite inspection activities in accordance with risk-based supervision methodologies and approved plans and preparing reports;<\/li>\n
  2. Assisting in conducting risk-profiling activities for regulated persons and preparing reports;<\/li>\n
  3. Maintaining a database on compliance by regulated entities with regulatory requirements;<\/li>\n
  4. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date and detailed electronic information database for regulated persons and periodically perform trend analysis; and<\/li>\n
  5. Conducting research on best practices on market supervision including AML\/CFT practices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Minimum Requirements<\/h4>\n

    Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Law (LLB), Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, ICT, Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Mathematics\/Statistics & Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution.<\/p>\n

    Key skills, Knowledge & Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n

    a) Professional and personal integrity;
    \nb) Communication and interpersonal skills;
    \nc) Report writing skills; and,
