If you hold CPA II or a Diploma, submit your application to join our team dedicated to maritime excellence.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Kenya Maritime Authority is a State Corporation whose mandate is to regulate, coordinate, and oversee maritime affairs, as guided by the Kenya Maritime Authority Act, 2006, the Merchant Shipping Act, 2009, and relevant maritime international conventions.<\/p>\n<p>The Authority is seeking to recruit highly competent, proactive and self-driven individuals to fill the following vacant positions: -<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>No. of Vacant Positions<\/strong>: 5<\/p>\n<h4>Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"mb-0\">\n<li>Receiving payment requests from suppliers and customers and posting in incoming registers<\/li>\n<li>Receive cash and cheques from customers<\/li>\n<li>Avail information to customers when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Receiving and issue of receipts for all payments received from customers<\/li>\n<li>Writing cheques, preparing Bank transfer instructions, undertaking bank deposits and withdrawal of cash from the bank<\/li>\n<li>Preparing EFT files and upload in the bank system<\/li>\n<li>Posting approved payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers and imprests<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports on cash balances.<\/li>\n<li>Making petty cash payments and reimbursements after receipt of approvals;<\/li>\n<li>Providing safe custody of records and assets under him\/her;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and filling records on payments\/cash receipts<\/li>\n<li>Assist in digitizing Authority\u2019s approved, paid and posted accounting documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>ACADEMIC:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA II<\/li>\n<li>Diploma in Accounts or Finance<\/li>\n<li>C- in KCSE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":810335,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\r\n\t<li>All applications must be submitted with an application letter and a detailed curriculum vitae indicating academ-ic qualifications, professional qualification, experience, membership in professional membership\/licenses or bodies where applicable, valid email addresses, telephone contacts, copies of certificates, national ID, and other testimonials.
