We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join Suvira Africa as a Research Intern supporting a national research initiative titled: \u201cThe Real Cost of Informality: A Comparative Study of SME Formal and Informal Operations in Kenya.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This internship provides an opportunity for young researchers interested in policy, economics, governance, and development research to gain hands-on experience in applied policy research and data-driven analysis.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • The selected interns will support the Research and Policy Execution team in:<\/li>\n
  • Supporting development and refinement of research tools and survey instruments<\/li>\n
  • Assisting with field data collection and supervision<\/li>\n
  • Supporting quantitative and qualitative research activities<\/li>\n
  • Conducting desk research and literature reviews<\/li>\n
  • Assisting in data cleaning, coding, and analysis<\/li>\n
  • Supporting development of the Formal vs Informal Cost Index<\/li>\n
  • Contributing to drafting research reports and policy briefs<\/li>\n
  • Supporting preparation of press releases and research communication materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Minimum Qualifications<\/h4>\n

    Applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n

    • Bachelor\u2019s degree or final-year student in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Statistics, Political Science, or related field<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical and research skills<\/li>\n
    • Excellent writing and communication ability<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with research tools or survey platforms is an added advantage<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word<\/li>\n
    • Strong attention to detail and professionalism<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
