WEIGHTS AND MEASURES OFFICER II - TWENTY-FOUR (24) POSTS - V\/NO. 115\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Basic Salary Scale<\/strong>: Ksh 36,200 p.m - Ksh 47,900 p.m. (CSG 11)
\nHouse Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh 5,800 p.m. - Ksh 10,000 p.m.
\nCommuter Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh 4,000 p.m.
\nLeave allowance<\/strong>: As provided in the Civil Service
\nAnnual Leave<\/strong>: 30 working days per financial year
\nMedical Cover<\/strong>: As provided by the government
\nTerms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n

Qualification Requirements<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Mathematics, Legal Metrology, Information Communication Technology, or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include: -<\/p>\n

(i) testing and stamping mechanical and electronic weighing equipment;
\n(ii) collecting data on verified equipment at traders' premises, stamping stations and verification office;
\n(iii) sampling pre-packaged goods for quantitative analysis;
\n(iv) preparing testing equipment for inspection and investigation purposes;
\n(v) and preparing weighing and measuring equipment during trade fairs and exhibitions;
