The Ministry of EAC, ASALS and Regional Development is hiring Regional Economic Integration Officers who will gather and organize data on EAC integration processes, contribute to draft reports, and help prepare policy briefs and speeches. This entry-level role involves assisting senior officers in analyzing economic affairs programs and projects and participating in meetings to shape Kenya's position on regional economic matters. REGIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION OFFICER II FOUR (4) POSTS-V\/NO. 126\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Basic Salary Scale<\/strong>: Ksh 43,200-Ksh 59,010 p.m. (CSG 10)
\nHouse Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh 9,600-KSH 16,500 p.m.
\nCommuter Allowance<\/strong>: Ksh 5,000 p.m.
\nLeave Allowance<\/strong>: As provided in the Civil Service
\nAnnual Leave<\/strong>: 30 working days
\nMedical Cover<\/strong>: As provided by the Government
\nTerms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and pensionable<\/p>\n

Qualification Requirements<\/h4>\n

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Economics, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Finance or its equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n

(i) gathering and collating data and information on East African Community (EAC) integration process and other existing programmes specifically focusing on trade, industry, investment, fiscal, monetary, customs, standards, competition and private sector development;
\n(ii) supporting in compilation of sector-specific draft reports;
\n(iii) generating initial policy briefs and speeches on economic issues on EAC integration and participating in preparatory meetings;
\n(iv) compiling data on the impact of economic affairs programmes and projects; and
