The National Council for Population and Development is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in The National Treasury and Economic Planning. The Council is mandated to promote and coordinate population and development programmes in Kenya. The Council seeks to fill the following vacant positions:<\/p>\n

ADVERT NO.006\/2026: ICT OFFICER \u2013 GRADE NCPD 6 ONE (1) POST\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Terms of Service<\/strong>: Permanent and Pensionable<\/p>\n

Basic Salary<\/strong>: \u00a0Kshs 44,000 (Minimum) \u2013Kshs.78,920 (Maximum)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Purpose<\/strong>: This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Repairing ICT equipment and associated peripherals;<\/li>\n
  2. Receiving and installing ICT equipment;<\/li>\n
  3. Configuring new ICT equipment;<\/li>\n
  4. Performing routine systems, application and network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control of records;<\/li>\n
  5. Configuring and testing of computer hardware and software including network appliances;<\/li>\n
  6. Installing of server software and upgrading of existing servers;<\/li>\n
  7. Performing routine offsite backups for NCPD critical data testing and drills;<\/li>\n
  8. Patch management on applications, systems and appliances;<\/li>\n
  9. Website design and maintenance;<\/li>\n
  10. Setup and maintenance of applications including Email, ERP and database;<\/li>\n
  11. Managing helpdesk application and generation of quarterly reports;<\/li>\n
  12. Installing necessary hardware and software upgrades into ICT network;<\/li>\n
  13. Documenting and reporting on standards, compliance including ISO, RISK Assessment, PC;<\/li>\n
  14. Monitoring network performance; and<\/li>\n
  15. Maintaining support systems and training of users.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Requirements for Appointments<\/h4>\n

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from recognized institution;<\/li>\n
    2.
