You will conduct water and wastewater analyses, prepare lab materials, and help monitor water quality. A relevant diploma\/certificate and computer skills are required. If you are detail-oriented and interested in protecting water resources, submit your application to join the WRA team and contribute to safeguarding Kenya's water.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Water Resources Authority is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, established as a corporate body under Section 11 of the Water Act (2016). WRA is designated under the Act as an agent of the National Government responsible for regulating the management and use of water resources.<\/p>\n<p>The Management of the Authority wishes to identify and recruit capable officers in the underlisted positions.<\/p>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer.<\/p>\n<h4>V\/NO.12\/2026 - LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST III<\/h4>\n<p><strong> WRA GRADE 9 \u2013 FOUR (4) POSITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Laboratory Technology Function<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cadre is responsible for the undertaking of surface and ground water quality and pollution assessment and monitoring through field and bench laboratory analyses; and advise accordingly on the suitability of the water for various uses. The cadre also undertakes integrated measures to protect water resources from pollution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities will entail<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receiving and registering of water and wastewater samples;<\/li>\n<li>Distributing the water and wastewater samples to appropriate laboratory units;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing analytical reagents, chemicals and solutions;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking field and laboratory bench water and wastewater analyses;<\/li>\n<li>Recording field water and wastewater analytical data and information;<\/li>\n<li>Sampling, labelling and submitting the water and wastewater for bench laboratory analysis;<\/li>\n<li>Tracking and documenting the water and wastewater analyses;<\/li>\n<li>Sorting and maintaining register of water and wastewater for disposal; and<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the water quality and pollution equipment and tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Job Specifications<\/h5>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Chemistry, Biological, Microbiological Applied Sciences or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>V\/NO.13\/2026 - LABORATORY TECHNICIAN III<\/h4>\n<p><strong>WRA GRADE 10 \u2013 TWO (2) POSITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities will entail:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cleaning and safe keeping of the laboratory appliances that include glassware and protective gears;<\/li>\n<li>Emptying of water sample containers upon confirmation of concluded analyses;<\/li>\n<li>Safe containment of water sample containers awaiting collection for recycling and disposal; and<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking general cleanliness and orderliness of laboratory settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Job Specifications<\/h5>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate in any of the following disciplines: - Water Laboratory Technology, Science Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":906064,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Candidates who meet the requirements for each of the positions should fill and submit the application form online in a typed format to be received on or before <strong>1st June 2026<\/strong>.
