These roles are crucial for managing the Authority's financial resources and ensuring efficient service delivery through sound financial practices. If you possess a relevant degree or diploma in accounting or finance, along with computer proficiency, we encourage you to apply for the Accounts\/Revenue Officer II or Assistant Accountant\/Revenue Officer III positions and contribute to sound financial management at WRA.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Water Resources Authority is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, established as a corporate body under Section 11 of the Water Act (2016). WRA is designated under the Act as an agent of the National Government responsible for regulating the management and use of water resources.<\/p>\n<p>The Management of the Authority wishes to identify and recruit capable officers in the underlisted positions.<\/p>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer.<\/p>\n<p>This cadre is responsible for promoting, facilitating and managing information communication and technology to enhance service delivery of the Authority.<\/p>\n<h4>V\/NO.27\/2026 - ACCOUNTS\/REVENUE OFFICER II<\/h4>\n<p><strong>WRA GRADE 8 \u2013 TWO (2) POSITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounts Function<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This cadre is responsible for prudent management of financial resources in WRA in line with the existing legal financial framework.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities will entail:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing and reviewing periodic expenditure returns;<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the general ledger;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting in tax accounting and remitting statutory deductions;<\/li>\n<li>Keeping safe custody of payments and journal vouchers;<\/li>\n<li>Processing payments and other disbursements;<\/li>\n<li>Issuing demand notes and following delinquent accounts;<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining asset registers;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing payment vouchers;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing bank reconciliation statements;<\/li>\n<li>Reconciling students\u2019 accounts;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing customer invoices for the services rendered; and<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking regular banking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Job Specifications<\/h5>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Finance, Accounting, Commerce (Finance\/Accounting Option), Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics and Finance, Economics and Statistics, Business Management, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>V\/NO.28\/2026 - ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT\/REVENUE OFFICER III<\/h4>\n<p><strong>WRA GRADE 9 \u2013 TWO (2) POSITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An Officer at this level will work under guidance of a senior officer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accounts Function<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This cadre is responsible for prudent management of financial resources in WRA in line with the existing legal financial framework.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities will entail:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initiating collection of revenue from various sources;<\/li>\n<li>Initiating compilation data on payments made by WRA to various payees;<\/li>\n<li>Compiling data to compute assets depreciation and verify balances on each account;<\/li>\n<li>Compiling documents and preparing them for approval of payment, allocation of funds for the payments, and effecting the payments;<\/li>\n<li>Documenting and dispatching cheques and payment documents;<\/li>\n<li>Keeping custody of all accounting documents;<\/li>\n<li>Filing documents; and<\/li>\n<li>Compiling documents and information to be used for monthly reconciliations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Job Specifications<\/h5>\n<p>For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in Accounting or Part I or II of Certified Public Accountant or its equivalent; and<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":906064,"template":"","meta":{"_seopress_robots_primary_cat":"","_seopress_titles_title":"","_seopress_titles_desc":"","_seopress_robots_index":"","_promoted":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_job_salary_unit":"","_job_how_to_apply":"<p>Candidates who meet the requirements for each of the positions should fill and submit the application form online in a typed format to be received on or before <strong>1st June 2026<\/strong>.
