The Commission for University Education (CUE) seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented, competent and self-driven individuals for the position of:<\/span><\/p>\n

PROGRAMME ACCREDITATION OFFICER - JOB GRADE CUE 6<\/strong><\/p>\n

a) Job specification<\/h4>\n

Duties and responsibilities will entail:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Providing administrative and logistical arrangements for Site Inspections and Workshops and meetings;<\/li>\n
  • Organizing documentation for Departmental and Accreditation Committee Meetings, Project Meetings and Workshops;<\/li>\n
  • In-putting data on the status of programmes received, being evaluated and approved;<\/li>\n
  • In-putting data on prequalified peer reviewers into the official departmental database;<\/li>\n
  • Writing minutes for all departmental and lower-level Commission Committee Meetings;<\/li>\n
  • Assessing academic programmes for compliance with the Commission's guidelines;<\/li>\n
  • Preparing site inspection reports on academic programs for institutions;<\/li>\n
  • Examining proposals for courses of study and course regulations submitted by Universities; and<\/li>\n
  • Preparation of documents for the facilitation of Panel Meetings, Curriculum Accreditation Sub-Committee Meetings, site inspections and programme accreditation trainings and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    b) Person specification<\/h4>\n

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;<\/li>\n
    • Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and<\/li>\n
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      c) Key competencies and skills<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Communication and reporting skills;<\/li>\n
      • Analytical skills;<\/li>\n
      • Interpersonal skill; and<\/li>\n

          3. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).<\/li>\r\n\t
          4. Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).<\/li>\r\n\t
          5. Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
