Brian Okero
I am a dedicated and results-oriented Microbiology graduate with a deep passion for applied research and innovative solutions in the field of microbiology, particularly in plant disease management and clinical practices. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Moi University, equipped with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, research methodologies, and data analysis.
Throughout my academic journey, I have honed my skills in microbial culturing, pathogen identification, and using biocontrol agents such as Trichoderma spp. for sustainable agriculture. I have also obtained certifications in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Computer Packages, enhancing my ability to work in both laboratory and clinical settings with high standards of compliance.
In addition to my technical skills, I have gained practical experience through volunteering at KALRO Tea Research Institute, where I supported research on eco-friendly pest and disease management strategies in tea cultivation. I am also proficient in data analysis software like SPSS, R, and Excel, enabling me to manage and interpret research data effectively.
With a strong commitment to improving health and environmental sustainability, I am now seeking internship or entry-level opportunities to apply my skills in microbiology, contribute to impactful research, and grow within a dynamic organization.
