Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations

Healthcare Professional | Research Enthusiast | Community Advocate

I am a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with a degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from Egerton University. As a fresh graduate, I bring a strong foundation in medical knowledge and a passion for improving community health through innovative research and outreach. Throughout my academic and early professional journey, I have honed my skills in clinical practice, research, and public health advocacy. My leadership and commitment to impactful work are exemplified by my role leading a research project on maternal mental health in MCH services. This project, conducted with a team of eight clinical medicine students, was presented at the Kenya Clinical Officers Annual Conference in Kisumu and earned me the Best Youngest Researcher Award in 2023. Furthering my commitment to community service, I participated in an outreach program with the ACCAF organization in Nairagie Enkare in 2024, conducting door-to-door data collection for an FGM practice research project. This experience reinforced my belief in using evidence-based approaches to address critical societal issues. I am eager to apply my clinical and research expertise to contribute meaningfully to healthcare systems and positively impact the communities I serve. My professional interests include maternal and child health, public health advocacy, and innovative research for sustainable healthcare solutions. In addition to my academic achievements, I am passionate about traveling and exploring diverse cultures, which broadens my perspective and enriches my approach to patient care and community engagement.
