Cost Controller – Production

AFRICAN LABOUR SOLUTIONS client, a food manufacturing company is looking to hire a Cost Controller (Production) to ensure the production output and production utility consumptions are correctly captured in the set template to establish daily /weekly/monthly production variable costs and share the same with the respective production/maintenance/quality leadership team for further analysis and make recommendations on how to reduce cost.

Location: Nairobi
Salary: Ksh. 50,000 – 70,000

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and validate daily production output and daily utility consumptions by section for correct assignment of variable costs.
• Populate data in the set template and establish the variances against the PVC budget.
• Tracked and analyzed product yield trends and online damages for each of the products produced and shared them with the operations leadership.
• Track actual utility consumptions and actual expenses for comparison against the budget and flag variances for discussion with the concerned departmental leaders.
• Monitor input against output from raw materials to WIP and finally to finished goods.
• Participate in daily/ weekly/ monthly operations meetings share the production costs and utility consumptions for discussion and monitor the changes and corrective actions.
• Participate, prepare, and monitor the production and fixed costs budget.

Requirement & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• CPA 2 Added advantage
• 2 years of experience in cost control (preferably in Manufacturing).
• Knowledge and use of Power BI and other cost analytical tools is a MUST for this role.
• Competent in analyzing complex datasets
