Niobi (www.niobi.co) is a fintech startup that is on a mission to provide a centralised finance platform for local and global businesses.

As the Growth Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will play a hands-on, supportive role in driving the company’s business development and marketing efforts. You will work closely with the growth team to identify new opportunities, engage potential clients, and support initiatives that boost brand visibility and revenue. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to learn how business growth is achieved and sustained in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Research and identify new business opportunities and potential markets.
  2. Engage prospective clients through calls, emails, and online platforms to present our solutions.
  3. Support lead generation efforts and manage sales pipelines using CRM tools.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  5. Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials.
  6. Work with the marketing team to execute campaigns, including digital outreach, events, and content marketing.
  7. Help gather market insights, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to inform growth strategies.
  8. Assist in managing social media and email marketing initiatives aimed at increasing user engagement.
  9. Track and report on sales and marketing performance metrics.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, operations, and customer success.
  11. Contribute to brainstorming and planning sessions for new growth initiatives.
  12. Perform any other duties or tasks as may be assigned from time to time in support of the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in business development—preferably in fintech or tech-driven industries.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and digital marketing platforms.
  • Strong research, data analysis, and reporting skills, with excellent communication skills – written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and organized, with solid time management and the ability to work independently.
  • Creative and adaptable problem-solver, comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
