We’re excited to announce that Kotani Pay will be among the host teams participating in the Ethereum Season of Internships, a structured, paid internship program running from August to October 2025. As a trusted on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure provider, we are thrilled to support and mentor the next generation of Web3 builders through this collaborative initiative.

About the Ethereum Season of Internships

The Ethereum ecosystem is one of the most vibrant and fast-growing in the blockchain space, welcoming thousands of newcomers each year through hackathons, bootcamps, community meetups, and university clubs. However, despite the energy and talent, many early-career professionals struggle to find structured, real-world opportunities to contribute meaningfully.

The Ethereum Season of Internships bridges this gap. By connecting emerging talent with forward-thinking companies like Kotani Pay, the program aims to strengthen the ecosystem, improve retention, and foster a community of skilled, purpose-driven contributors.

The Kotani Pay Internship Program

We are currently hiring remote software developer interns to work with our Tech Engineering team as we expand into Southeast Asia. This is a three-month paid internship, with a potential extension to six months based on mutual agreement.

• Duration: August – October 2025 (potential extension to January 2026)
• Location: Remote-first
• Working Hours: Vietnam timezone, 9 AM – 6 PM (1-hour lunch break)
• Structure: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Salary: $500 (inclusive of performance bonus)

What You’ll Be Working On

The interns will gain hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting APIs and infrastructure that power stablecoin use cases across multiple regions. You’ll contribute directly to real projects while learning from experienced developers and product leads.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Support API development, integration, and maintenance
• Assist with technical deployments and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing projects
• Document technical workflows and processes
• Provide engineering-related customer support
• Uphold strong working ethics and protect company IP

What we’re looking for in an intern

1. Backend Development ️

• Proficiency in Web3 (Smart contracts, dApps, blockchain infrastructure), ZK proof, NestJS for building scalable, modular backend applications.
• Experience with MongoDB and Mongoose ORM for schema design and database operations.
• High advantage: Implemented a ZK circuit (e.g., private transaction, Merkle proof) or contributed to ZK rollup projects (Scroll, Taiko, Polygon zkEVM).
• Familiarity with Redis for caching and session management.
• Proficient in implementing job/task processing frameworks such as Bull Queue.
• Experience with API development, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs

2. Frontend Development

• Experience in modern frontend frameworks, specifically React.js and Nest.js, for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces.
• Experience with Figma or similar tools.
• Proficiency with state management libraries like Redux, Recoil, or Zustand.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks.

3. Database and Data Management

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Experience in data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with SQL-based databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL for certain data use cases.
• Familiarity with in-memory databases like Redis for caching and real-time data management.

4. Cloud and DevOps Skills ️

• Experience with deploying and managing applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and management using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.

5. Additional Skills

• Experience in debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Mocha/Chai.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
