Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Kenyan Citizen
2. Registered by regulatory body
3. Valid practice license from public health officers and technician’s council
4. Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health from a recognized institution
5. Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to environmental health
2. Referring health cases to relevant health facilities
3. Identifying environmental health issues at community level;
4. Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues
5. Collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered
6. Assessing health needs of the community
7. Implementing vector, vermin and rodent control measures
8. Implementing integrated mosquito control strategies.
