Position Summary
The Graduate Trainee – Quality Assurance / Quality Control will join our QA/QC team to ensure that all bakery products meet the highest quality and safety standards. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on training in food safety, quality systems, and compliance with industry regulations, while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Assist in monitoring and enforcing food safety and hygiene standards across production lines.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished baked goods.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Participate in internal audits, documenting findings and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to ensure product consistency and compliance with quality specifications.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records and reports.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring adherence to all food safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor compliance with statutory quality requirements and customer specifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality systems and processes.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare QA/QC reports and assist in data analysis.
- Keep detailed logs of quality inspections and testing activities.
- Provide support in preparing audit reports and quality performance updates.
Learning & Development
- Participate in structured training sessions on bakery quality systems and modern production techniques.
- Gain exposure to real-world QA/QC challenges and develop practical problem-solving skills.
- Work closely with mentors to build expertise in food quality management and assurance.
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience Required
- A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of food safety, quality control, and HACCP principles (added advantage).
- Strong interest in quality management and FMCG manufacturing.

- Good observational and analytical skills for quality checks and data interpretation.
- Basic knowledge of food quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP).
- Ability to use QA/QC tools and maintain accurate records.

- Proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn in a dynamic production environment.
