We are looking for a motivated and articulate Telesales Intern to join our SACCO’s Sales & Marketing team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will support efforts to promote our savings products to both existing and prospective members through telephone outreach. You will play a key role in lead generation, product promotion, and member engagement to drive uptake of our financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to individuals and businesses to promote SACCO savings products (e.g., fixed deposit accounts, children’s savings, target accounts).
- Explain product benefits, eligibility, and sign-up processes clearly and persuasively.
- Follow up with leads and referrals to convert interest into active memberships or product sign-ups.
- Keep accurate records of all calls, outcomes, and member feedback.
- Support marketing campaigns by reaching out to target groups via phone.
- Work with the marketing and customer service teams to resolve inquiries or escalate issues.
- Help the team meet daily and weekly call and conversion targets.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree (ongoing or completed) in Marketing, Business, Communication, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Friendly, confident, and persuasive on the phone.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- High level of integrity and respect for member confidentiality.
- Prior experience in a SACCO, bank, or customer service role is an added advantage.
