The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013 as the national body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.
Office Assistant – Mtwapa
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage sign-in sheets, appointment logs, and visit or records
- Handle inquiries in person, via phone, or email, and direct them appropriately
- Assist in printing, photocopying, and organizing trial-related forms or documents
- Assist in distributing internal communications, meeting notices, or updates
- Maintain logs for participant visits, courier shipments, and general office supplies.
- Issue visitor badges and maintain security logs as required
- Assist in coordinating refreshments or logistics for study meetings or training sessions
- Cleaning of offices and compound
- Recording and dispatching letters, files and documents
- Coordinate participant transport reimbursement and keep meticulous records
- Planting, weeding and pruning/mowing gardens
- Collecting, assembling and disposing of waste
- Any other office work that may arise
Vacancy Requirements:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer application;
