Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.

The HR Intern will provide essential support in digitizing and organizing staff records, and uploading them to the Cyrus ERP system. This role also offers hands-on exposure to HR operations and systems, contributing to both learning and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and organize physical HR documents for scanning and upload.
  • Upload staff files and documents (e.g., contracts, Personal records, certifications) into the ERP system.
  • Ensure documents are correctly labelled and stored in their respective digital folders.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of documents before and after upload.
  • Assist in identifying and flagging missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout the process.
  • Support general HR administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to internal document requests.

Expected Deliverables

  • Accurate and up-to-date digital HR staff files uploaded to the ERP system.
  • A summary report of uploaded files, missing documents flagged, and completed entries.
  • Regular progress updates to the HR Coordinator.
  • Improved organization of both digital and physical HR records.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Office Administration and Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; general computer literacy.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Eagerness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.
