PROCUREMENT INTERN

Location: Kileleshwa, Nairobi
Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

1. Support the procurement team in executing procurement processes such as RFQs (Request for Quotation), purchase orders, and contract management.
2. Assist in maintaining supplier records, evaluating supplier performance matters deliverables, conducting supplier negotiations, and managing supplier relationships
3.Assist with Data Management and Reporting by maintaining accurate records of procurement activities in terms of Pos, Invoices and supplier terms and contracts.
4. Assisting with Asset Management which May include tracking, issuing, and receiving stock as sourced by procurement department.
5. Assist in Conducting market research to identify trition to Support procuremen reds, and gather making.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, and warehouse to ensure alignment and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
7.Providing general support to the procurement team and other departments as needed.

Procurement Intern – Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized
    institution.
  • Preferably a male candidate.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management. Previous internship or industrial attachment in a procurement or related department will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of procurement procedures and sourcing principles.
  • Strong organizational and record -keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and support the procurement team in day-to-day operations.
