FIBER OPTICS PLANNING & DESIGN INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct network infrastructure surveys and prepare detailed designs, including on-site assessments, drawings and solutions.
• Digitize GIS maps and develop 2D models for network projects.
• Document, upload and maintain network data using inventory management tools.
• Ensure quality assurance in network construction, maintenance and upgrades.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform additional duties as required.
• Perform site inspections, facilitate acceptance processes and produce as-built designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electrical & Telecommunications Engineering, Geospatial/Geomatics Engineering, or any related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS-related software (e.g., QGIS, SW Maps, Global Mapper).
• Strong understanding of applicable standards, codes and local regulations.
• Valid driving license (an added advantage).
