The Government of Kenya, through State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SDTVET) and Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), is implementing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training & Entrepreneurship TVETE Project, funded by AfDB’s Youth Employment Initiative.
The State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SDTVET), in partnership with KEPSA, is implementing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training & Entrepreneurship (TVETE) Project. This initiative is funded by the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Youth Employment Innovation Multi-Donor Trust Fund (YEI-MDTF).
The TVETE Project aims to tackle youth unemployment by equipping recent TVET Graduates with in-demand technical skills, DigitalLiteracy, internship and apprenticeships opportunities, and Entrepreneurship support for youth-led start-ups.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be a recent graduate from any of the listed Public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
- Commit to 3-months internship duration at the placed company/Workshop/Institution.
- Must have a certificate or letter of completion from the TVET Institution
Program Details:
- Duration: 3 Months (October to December 2025)
- KEPSA will support the on-boarded interns with a monthly stipend.
- Continuous Work-readiness training support.
