Main Purpose of the Job
Pioneer Insurance Holdings Limited seeks to recruit a Graduate Trainee (Application Systems) to form a critical pillar in the execution of the department's responsibilities and Digital Transformation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in software development, maintenance and support for applications implemented in Java, Oracle Database.
- Perform systems integration through webservices.
- Design and develop system reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on the existing applications as reported by the users.
- Create or update technical system documentation including design documents, user manual and installation instructions.
- Work closely with other developers and support specialist within the department.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, and a recent Graduate from 2024 to 2025.
- Intermediate understanding of java programming language.
- Understanding of springboot java framework will be added advantage.
- Experience in working on restful webservices will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Android programming will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of SQL commands. Experience with oracle database will be an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of data structures, database theory and database administration.
- Possess strong understanding of software engineering principals including data normalization and software development life cycles
- Knowledgeable in Unix based operating systems
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge in Insurance is an added advantage
