WE ARE RECRUITING ASSISTANT CHEF
Staffing Partner Africa client, a busy hotel in Nairobi CBD, is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Chef to support their kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking meals according to menu and quality standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and stock.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Monitor food supplies and communicate shortages promptly.
- Observe all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel.
- Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for food quality and presentation.
