The Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) is a State Corporation established under the Science Technology and Innovation (ST&I) Act, No 28 of 2013. The mandate to develop and manage the National Innovation System.

The Agency invites applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position:

CORPORATE COMMUNICATION OFFICER II, KENIA 8 – J (Post 1)

Post Duration: Parmanent

This is an entry level grade for degree holder into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

(a) Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

  1. Implementing communications, customer and branding strategies to support the Agency’s objectives;
  2. Supporting activities to enhance the corporate image of the Agency;
  3. Monitoring internal and external media communication functions;
  4. Assisting in protocol management;
  5. Organizing Agency’s planned events and functions;
  6. Providing content in the development of Communication materials;
  7. Supporting implementation of the Agency Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and preparing reports;
  8. Responding to customer enquiries
  9. Receiving, analysing and sharing customer feedback;
  10. Manning information desk services at public awareness programmes and outreach forums.

(b) Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

  1. Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: -Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Journalism, Mass Communication, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  2. Membership to the Public Relation Society of Kenya (PRSK) or Media Council of Kenya (MCK) or any other relevant professional body and in good standing;and
  3. Proficiency in computer applications.
