Sales Intern- Tourism & Hospitality

Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and articulate Sales & Business Development Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about the tourism and hospitality industry and eager to build a career in sales. You will be responsible for generating leads, engaging with industry professionals, and promoting our suite of educational programs, certifications, and bespoke solutions.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in B2B sales within a niche, high-growth market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients within the tourism and hospitality sectors, including hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, and destination management organizations.
- Client Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, send targeted emails, and use social selling (primarily LinkedIn) to initiate contact with potential customers.
- Needs Analysis: Engage with prospects to understand their business challenges and training needs, effectively positioning our programs and solutions as the ideal answer.
- Sales Support: Assist the senior sales team in preparing proposals, presentations, and sales collateral.
- CRM Management: Log all activities, update lead statuses, and manage customer information accurately in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to help shape our sales strategy.
- Relationship Building: Support in nurturing existing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management or related.
- Demonstrated sales experience (e.g., previous internship, part-time role, or significant university project work).
- A strong understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry’s structure, key players, and current challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and succeed in sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
