Young Innovators and Researchers in Microbiology and Biotechnology (YIMBiK) is a dynamic society dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in microbiology and biotechnology. YIMBIK Internship Program 2025/2026: Future Global Health and Food Security Empowering the Next Generation of African Innovators
Program Details
Duration: 3–6 months
Mode: Primarily remote assignments (with optional field activities where available).
Eligibility: Open to students, recent graduates, and young professionals from all academic backgrounds who demonstrate a strong passion for innovation, sustainability, and creating positive community impact.
The YIMBIK Internship Program is a dynamic initiative designed to empower young innovators, scientists, and changemakers. Our mission is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to drive transformative research, innovation, and sustainable development across Africa.
Interns will engage in hands-on projects that address pressing real-world challenges in global health, food security, and biotechnology. Throughout the program, they will develop essential competencies in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. This internship offers a unique opportunity to connect with leading professionals, researchers, and institutions actively shaping Africa’s scientific and innovation landscape.
