Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Web Design and Digital Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team on a hybrid / remote basis. This internship offers hands-on experience in both front-end web development and digital marketing, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects while developing your professional skillset.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for design, user experience, and digital strategy, who is eager to learn and grow in a supportive remote environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Web Design & Development:
- Assist in designing and updating responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with senior designers to create visually compelling layouts and user interfaces.
- Help optimize websites for speed, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
- Support the integration of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic plugin/theme customization.
- Conduct basic UI/UX testing and gather user feedback for iterative improvements.
Digital Marketing Support:
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X).
- Support the development of email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotional content).
- Conduct basic keyword research and support SEO optimization efforts.
- Help track and analyze digital campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite.
- Participate in content creation, including blog graphics, infographics, and ad creatives.
General:
- Attend virtual team meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Maintain organized digital assets and documentation.
- Stay updated on current web and marketing trends and share insights with the team.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Web Design, Digital Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, or Canva.
- Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals (social media, SEO, email marketing).
- Experience with or willingness to learn WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace suitable for remote collaboration.
