The Role
We are seeking recent graduates to join our academics team as Teaching Interns from January 2026. This paid internship offers aspiring educators hands-on classroom experience and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to learners’ academic and personal growth, while preparing for a long-term career in teaching.
Job Title: Teaching Intern
Job Location: Nairobi, Komarock and Umoja
Duration: up to 12 months
Subject Area of Interest: We are looking for interns in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- English
- Science and Agriculture
- Creative Arts (Music and Arts)
- ICT/Digital Literacy
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, developing and delivering engaging, learner-centered lessons tailored to diverse student needs.
- Support the preparation and administration of assessments and evaluations in line with CBC standards.
- Facilitate small group or one-on-one learning sessions, as assigned.
- Supervise classes in the absence of the class teacher and maintain classroom discipline.
- Actively participate in the school’s co-curricular and social support programs
- Maintain accurate learner records and assist with progress reporting.
- Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Monitor and encourage positive learner behavior and peer engagement.
- Provide regular updates to the class teacher on learner progress.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- MUST have a TSC certificate.
- Have a Degree in Education or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer applications / digital skills
- Strong understanding of the CBC curriculum.
- Being active in extra-curricular activities is an added advantage.
