Pharo School Nairobi is a unique private institution offering two years of pre-primary education and primary grades 1-9. Located in the tranquil neighbourhoods of Komarock Estate and Umoja, Nairobi. The Role

We are currently seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team. This role will support the Marketing and Communications Department in implementing strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the Pharo School Nairobi brand, sustaining admissions and enhancing stakeholder engagement. The intern will play a critical role in coordinating marketing activities, content creation, digital campaigns and reporting during this peak academic and marketing season. Job Title: Marketing Intern

Report to: Communications and Marketing Manager, Pharo Schools Nairobi

Job Location: Nairobi, Komarock

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Design

  • Assist to develop engaging designs for print and digital use using Canva and other design tools.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials including brochures, posters, and branded content.

2. Photography & Videography

  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of school events, activities and learner showcases.
  • Maintain a digital library of visual content for use across campaigns.

3.Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Support in managing and updating Pharo School Nairobi’s official social media platforms.
  • Run targeted social media ads and campaigns to boost brand visibility and admissions.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on performance metrics for social media campaigns.

4. Marketing Research & Analysis

  • Assist in conducting competitor analysis and marketing surveys.
  • Assist to compile reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.

5. Event Marketing Support

  • Participate in mall activations, estate engagement campaigns, and open days, ensuring branding and communication consistency.
  • Coordinate logistical and communication support for events such as graduation ceremonies, the scholarship programme, and cultural showcases.

6. Communication & Coordination

  • Support internal communication initiatives by drafting newsletters, updates, and reports.
  • Liaise with service providers and partners for marketing deliverables and ensure timely execution

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Canva, basic Adobe Suite tools, or other design platforms.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, with ability to edit visual content.
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn) and campaign management.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to compile and interpret marketing data.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver within deadlines.
