SKM Africa client is a dynamic credit-only financial institution committed to offering accessible and customer-oriented lending solutions. They are seeking an eager and detail-oriented Credit Intern to support credit operations, customer onboarding, and loan processing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Assessment & Processing:
- Assist in screening and assessing loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Support verification of customer information, documentation, and collateral.
- Help prepare credit appraisal reports for review by the Credit Officer.
- Support the loan approval and disbursement process in line with company policies.
Customer Onboarding & Support:
- Guide customers through the loan application process and explain product features.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide timely customer support.
- Assist in maintaining strong relationships with clients by ensuring excellent customer service.
Loan Monitoring & Follow-Up:
- Monitor active loans and follow up with clients on repayment schedules.
- Support early-stage collections by reminding clients of upcoming or overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate and updated client records.
Reporting & Administration:
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly credit activity reports.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of customer information.
- Support credit team operations and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field.
- Strong interest in credit management, lending operations, and financial services.
- Good analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- High level of integrity, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
