MAIN PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP

Join us for a 3-6months program offering personal and professional growth as you work with experienced team members. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Payment Operations Intern to join our dynamic team. As a Payment Operations Intern, you will support in the daily execution of CarePay’s payment operations, learning core fintech workflows, reconciliations and operational controls while contributing to routine tasks across the payment lifecycle.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in processing basic payment transactions
  • Perform reconciliations (e.g. provider till operations, exit processing, technical support to users of wallet products)
  • Maintain payment records and support data entry/documentation
  • Extract simple data queries via Metabase/Snowflake
  • Prepare reports on payment activities or KPIs
  • Monitor dashboards and flag areas for attention
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry and document management
  • Escalate any issues outside predefined SOPs

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & KEY SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree (ongoing or final year) in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Basic Excel skills; exposure to SQL is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Interest in fintech, payments, or digital financial systems
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow SOPs
  • Good communication and teamwork
