ABOUT THE ROLE

Information and Technology Intern

Terms: 3 months internship

Job Purpose

The Internship program will provide an opportunity to gain hands on work- experience, expand knowledge, refine career goals and build professional network and mentor.

Responsibilities

  1. Support staff – both internal and external
  2. Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
  3. WHOIS checks and cleanup
  4. Any other relevant work that may be assigned to the job holder from time to time.
  5. Systems Documentation

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. A recent graduate and holder of Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or IT related course.
  2. Knowledgable on Cybersecurity will be an added advantage.
  3. Understanding network protocals and system administration tasks

Required competencies:

  1. Techy-savviness-: Proficient in up-to-date computer application skills e.g. Microsoft Office and excel
  2. Analytical-: Gathers relevant information through practical methods and develops actionable insights
  3. Creative: – Generates and shares as well as champions new ideas for implementation towards improving operations
  4. Teamwork: – Achieves daily, weekly and monthly targets as part of the team, while taking in lessons that better performance and openly shares ideas and views that build team cohesiveness
  5. Communication-: Ability to be articulate to ensure proper communication when dealing with staff and clients.
  6. Accountability: – Adheres to deadlines and appointments and is keen to proactively source solutions
  7. Planning and organizing-: Designs action plans and work schedule and approaches that enable accomplish of operating plans that are aligned to the organization’s goals
  8. Strategic acumen: Implements actions plans and milestones in their daily  tasks
  9. Change & Culture Stewardship: Ability to demonstrate and support desired culture change behavior.
  10. Ambition: Desires to deliver the best and grow from current position
