About the Role
Terms: 3 months internship
Job Purpose
The internship program offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on work experience, expand their knowledge, refine career goals, and build a professional network with mentors. As a Marketing intern, you will actively support various initiatives, participating in the planning and execution of both digital and offline marketing activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in creating compelling and engaging content across diverse platforms, such as social media, websites, email marketing, newsletters, and print materials.
- Monitor social media channels, bring attention to inquiries, and analyze performance metrics.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, both online and offline, aimed at promoting KeNIC’s products.
- Support team to plan, develop and execute marketing initiatives
- Support projects related to branding, content creation and social media marketing
- Draft and edit internal and external communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Handle inbound requests from vendors and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for communication materials
- Utilize analytics tools to track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns
- Monitor trends, feedback and satisfaction levels
- Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance KeNIC’s standing
- Prepare proposals and reports as required.
- Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A final-year student or recent graduate holding a degree in Marketing, Media & Communications or Graphic Design
- Proficient in the WordPress platform.
- Basic digital marketing skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite for creating marketing copy.
- Desired skills include a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the Canva design platform.
Required competencies:
- Marketing skills: Ability to create visibility and generate interest for domains from potential customers by using different types of digital technology. Ability to use existing tools to create visual content.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication. French language will be an added advantage
- Social media skills: Ability to create content and distribute it via various social media channels and responding to comments and interacting with followers
- Content management skills: Understanding of content management systems to help create blog posts, update social media accounts and work on other types of online content.
- Email marketing skills: Ability to craft compelling subject lines, interesting body and call to action buttons
- Computer Proficiency skills; Ability to use the computer efficiently and effectively as required.
- Presentation Skills-Ability to deliver a message clearly and effectively to an audience
- Tech-savvy: – Ability to use technology efficiently and effectively as required.
