About the Role

Terms: 3 months internship

Job Purpose

The internship program offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on work experience, expand their knowledge, refine career goals, and build a professional network with mentors. As a Marketing intern, you will actively support various initiatives, participating in the planning and execution of both digital and offline marketing activities and events.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate in creating compelling and engaging content across diverse platforms, such as social media, websites, email marketing, newsletters, and print materials.
  2. Monitor social media channels, bring attention to inquiries, and analyze performance metrics.
  3. Contribute to the planning and execution of events, both online and offline, aimed at promoting KeNIC’s products.
  4. Support team to plan, develop and execute marketing initiatives
  5. Support projects related to branding, content creation and social media marketing
  6. Draft and edit internal and external communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  7. Handle inbound requests from vendors and partners
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for communication materials
  9. Utilize analytics tools to track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns
  10. Monitor trends, feedback and satisfaction levels
  11. Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance KeNIC’s standing
  12. Prepare proposals and reports as required.
  13. Other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. A final-year student or recent graduate holding a degree in Marketing, Media & Communications or Graphic Design
  2. Proficient in the WordPress platform.
  3. Basic digital marketing skills.
  4. Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite for creating marketing copy.
  5. Desired skills include a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the Canva design platform.

Required competencies:

  1. Marketing skills:  Ability to create visibility and generate interest for domains from potential customers by using different types of digital technology. Ability to use existing tools to create visual content.
  2. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication. French language will be an added advantage
  3. Social media skills: Ability to create content and distribute it via various social media channels and responding to comments and interacting with followers
  4. Content management skills: Understanding of content management systems to help create blog posts, update social media accounts and work on other types of online content.
  5. Email marketing skills: Ability to craft compelling subject lines, interesting body and call to action buttons
  6. Computer Proficiency skills; Ability to use the computer efficiently and effectively as required.
  7. Presentation Skills-Ability to deliver a message clearly and effectively to an audience
  8. Tech-savvy: – Ability to use technology efficiently and effectively as required.

  4. Creative: Develop fresh innovative ideas that provide solutions to all types of workplace challenges outside the usual practices
