Youth Polytechnic / Vocational Training Instructors at County Government of Meru

Meru County Public Service Board is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012 whose mandate includes appointing persons to hold or act in the offices of County Public Service. The Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the position of Vocational Training Instructor III (Youth polytechnic Instructor) as per Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on replacement as indicated in the Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) listed below.

Vocational Training Instructor III (Youth polytechnic Instructor) JG 'H' (14 posts)

Duties and Responsibilities.

Duties at this level will involve:

1. Theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization.
2. Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records.
3. Teaching and learning materials, carrying out trainee assessment;
4. Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
5. Conducting co-curricular activities, maintaining trainers' discipline and guiding and counselling trainees

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• A diploma in the relevant course in the vacancy declared below from a recognized institution in Kenya.
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution in kenya.
