BUSINESS ANALYST – ENTRY LEVEL
The Business Analyst identifies business needs, gathers requirements, and supports the design of solutions to improve processes and achieve organizational goals. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather, validate, and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and research with stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Develop and model business processes, using flowcharts or diagrams to visualize workflows and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Conduct gap analyses to compare current state with desired outcomes and propose actionable strategies to bridge those gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, management, and end users—to ensure solutions meet business needs and technical capabilities.
- Prepare clear, concise documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, and process flow diagrams.
- Perform data analysis to uncover trends, measure performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Oversee the implementation of new processes, systems, or technologies, including coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to users affected by new systems or processes, including developing user manuals and conducting training sessions.
- Identify and assess risks, issues, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, ensuring ongoing alignment and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, making adjustments as needed to deliver optimal business value.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required
Qualification:
A degree/diploma in IT, Business Management or any related field
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of business principles, including business processes, budgeting, cost–benefit analysis, and organizational strategy.
- Familiarity with IT systems, software development life cycles, and how technology supports business goals.
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and statistical software (e.g., Python, R).
- Understanding of process modeling methods and tools (e.g., UML, flowcharts, Visio).
- Minimum 1-year experience in ERP implementation, systems integration, or Business Analysis roles.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts.
Other Competencies:
- Prior experience in business analysis or related roles involving requirement gathering, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and business intelligence software.
- Exposure to project environments using Agile or other development methodologies.
- Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and supporting system implementations.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions that align with strategic business goals.
