AGRA is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized M&E Associate to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role is critical in supporting the review of data from the Continental Pillar Program, specifically focusing on milestone delivery, and in providing support to the STRAK Project through the Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS). As the M&E Associate, you will assist in compiling essential documentation, conducting preliminary data analysis, and ensuring the proper uploading of key documents to the Knowledge Management Repository.   • Inclusive markets, trade and Finance – We work to increase the linkages between farmers and other market actors for a positive, sustained cycle of commercialization and reinvestment.
  • Youth, Gender, and Inclusiveness – We enable women and youth to contribute to and benefit from agriculture for their economic empowerment.

Role Summary

The M&E Associate will assist the M&E team in reviewing data from the Continental Pillar Program, with a focus on milestone delivery, as well as supporting the STRAK Project through the Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS). The scope of work includes developing initial milestone reports and conducting basic data analysis to inform quarterly grant performance reviews. Additionally, the role will involve compiling all M&E-related documentation for the STRAK Project in preparation for the end-of-program evaluation and uploading critical documents to the Knowledge Management (KM) Repository.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and developing milestone status reports for Continental Pillar grants with a focus on AGRA self-reported work under Value for Her and Generation Africa.
  • Review supporting documents uploaded on AMIS and submitted by grantees to ensure completeness, with a particular focus on verifying the list of youth reached under the YEFFA program.
  • Compile and organize M&E documentation as the project closes in preparation for archiving and uploading to the Knowledge Management (KM) portal.
  • Support the results harvesting documentation process for Continental Pillar program activities.
  • Upload finalized documents and reports to the KM portal, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Provide general support to the central M&E team in the execution of M&E-related activities.

Key Deliverables

  • Quarterly report on milestones for the Continental grants. Flagging milestones on track and those behind.
  • Develop and manage results database for Value4her and Generation Africa work
  • Reviewing key support and validating documents that have been submitted by grantees on AMIS, such as beneficiary and SME lists.
  • Review some grantee technical reports and compare data with indicator data on AMIS
  • All STRAK documents uploaded onto the KM portal, correctly categorized and described with appropriate metadata.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly action tracker for key actions required for continental YEFFA programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in development, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with management information systems.
  • Basic understanding of working with management information systems like AMIS
  • A basic understanding of Knowledge Management principles is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
