About the Role
Join our Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) team as an intern and gain practical, hands-on experience in core finance operations. You'll support day-to-day transactional finance activities including transaction processing, supplier and client reconciliations, and general bookkeeping. This role offers excellent exposure to finance fundamentals and the opportunity to develop essential technical skills in a professional environment.
What You'll Do
- You'll support the Finance CoE team with critical transactional finance activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing and booking financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
- Performing supplier reconciliations to ensure accounts payable records match vendor statements
- Conducting client reconciliations to verify accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in account balances
- Assisting with month-end and quarter-end closing activities
- Supporting the preparation of reconciliation reports and variance analysis
- Communicating with suppliers and clients to clarify transaction details and resolve queries
- Maintaining organized documentation and filing systems for audit purposes
- Contributing to process improvements and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains
What We're Looking For
- Recent graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certified public Accountant qualification (CPA Part 2) will be an added advantage
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and clients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior experience with accounting software SAP ERP system is an advantage
