    Greenspoon is hiring a Content Creator to own visual and short-form content, shooting and editing daily to make Greenspoon stand out. You’ll spot trends, pitch ideas, and create engaging videos and graphics for social media, email, and ads. We need someone with sharp instincts for what stops the scroll and the confidence to execute fast.     Greenspoon is Kenya’s fastest-growing and highest-rated online supermarket. We deliver thousands of fresh, healthy groceries to customers’ homes every day, with a 45-minute delivery promise. We closed 2025 having grown 15x in revenue over the last three years, and we are targeting significant growth again in 2026.

    The role

    We are looking for a Content Creator to own the visual and short-form content that Greenspoon puts into the world. You sit inside the Marketing team and work closely with the marketing team on campaigns, launches, and always-on social.

    This is a hands-on creative role. You will be in our warehouse, in our aisles, with our riders, and at our suppliers, shooting, editing, and publishing content that makes Greenspoon feel unmistakable. You bring trend fluency, a sharp eye for hooks, fast execution in CapCut and Canva, and the confidence to ship daily without waiting for a brief.

    You are not a passive executor. You pitch ideas, spot trends before they peak, and turn everyday moments inside Greenspoon into content that stops the scroll and drives orders.

    Key responsibilities

    1. Short-form video creation

    • Plan, shoot, and edit 3 to 5 pieces of short-form video per week for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
    • Write strong hooks in the first 2 seconds, structure retention beats, and cut for platform-native pacing
    • Capture content across warehouse, delivery, suppliers, kitchen, and customer stories
    • Turn around reactive, trend-led content within 24 to 48 hours when a trend is live

    2. Graphic and static content

    • Produce high-quality static content in Canva for Instagram, WhatsApp, email, and in-app banners
    • Execute creatives according to brand guidelines & strategy
    • Build templates the wider team can reuse without breaking the brand

    3. Trend spotting and content strategy

    • Stay ahead of platform trends, audio, formats, and creator behaviour on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
    • Bring a weekly trend board to the Marketing team with specific ideas for how Greenspoon can participate
    • Identify which trends fit the brand and which do not, and have a clear point of view on both

    4. Campaign and launch content

    • Deliver content for product launches, category pushes, seasonal moments, and promotional campaigns
    • Partner with Commercial and Growth to brief, shoot, and ship campaign assets on deadline
    • Create talent-led and founder-led content where it strengthens the story

    5. Creator, influencer, and UGC

    • Source, brief, and manage relationships with Kenyan creators and micro-influencers
    • Coordinate shoots, content rights, and usage across paid and organic
    • Build a steady pipeline of user-generated content and testimonials

    6. Publishing, performance, and iteration

    • Publish to Greenspoon’s social and paid media channels on a consistent weekly cadence
    • Track content performance (views, watch time, saves, shares, CTR, conversion) and feed learnings into the next week of work
    • Kill what isn’t working and double down on what is

    7. Production and asset management

    • Own Greenspoon’s content library. Organised, tagged, and easy to find so we can reuse & recycle
    • Manage shoot logistics, basic lighting, sound, and phone or camera setups
    • Keep raw footage, edits, and published assets backed up and version-controlled

    Qualifications and experience

    • Experience creating short-form video content for a brand, agency, or personal channel with demonstrable reach or growth
    • A portfolio or showreel of published work on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts that you can talk through in detail
    • Fluent in CapCut (mobile and desktop) and Canva. Comfort with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or Figma is a plus
    • Experimented with AI-video creation
    • Confident shooting on a smartphone and on basic mirrorless or DSLR setups
    • Strong written English and Swahili, with a natural sense for how Kenyan audiences speak and scroll
    • Experience working with creators, influencers, or UGC programmes is a plus
    • Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or food and beverage is a plus

    Skills and competencies

    • Deep, current understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You know which audio is trending this week, not last quarter
    • Sharp instinct for hooks, pacing, and retention. You can explain why a piece of content works, not just feel it
    • Fast execution. You can ship a trend-led reel in 24 hours when the moment calls for it
    • Strong visual taste and brand discipline. Your work looks like Greenspoon, every time
    • Proactive and self-directed. You pitch ideas, plan your week, and do not wait for briefs to land in your inbox
    • Comfortable being on camera when the story needs it, and comfortable directing others when it does not
    • Organised. You keep shoots, schedules, and assets tidy without being chased
    • Commercial awareness. You understand that content exists to drive orders, not just impressions
    • High integrity, low ego, and a genuine interest in food, health, and sustainability
